Hello!
My name is Brenna Fitzgerald. I am a senior at the Pennsylvania State University majoring in Music Education. I'm currently studying violin with Max Zorin. I've been playing violin in Penn State's Philharmonic Orchestra since my freshman year, which has allowed me to perform works by Mahler, Beethoven, Brahms, and Stravinsky. In Fall 2006 and Spring 2008, I had the opportunity to play in the Chamber Orchestra. In Spring 2009, I played cello in Sinfonietta, to become more comfortable with the lower strings, performing works by Brahms, Grieg, and Tchaikovsky. This past semester, Fall 2009, I played in a string quartet focusing on Alternative String styles, something I've always been interested in pursuing.
A large portion of my life has always been devoted to performing music. I sing and play drums, guitar, and bass in a rock band, called "Leaving Cash." Our first full-length album, featuring 12 original songs, was released in January 2009 (available on iTunes). We perform at venues in the greater Philadelphia area. I also sing and play guitar, bass, electric violin and drums in the band "Under the Radar" at the Phyrst in downtown State College every Friday
night.
