Hello!
My name is Brenna Fitzgerald.  I am a senior at the Pennsylvania State University majoring in Music Education. I'm currently studying violin with Max Zorin.  I've been playing violin in Penn State's Philharmonic Orchestra since my freshman year, which has allowed me to perform works by Mahler, Beethoven, Brahms, and Stravinsky.  This past semester, Spring 2009, I played cello in Sinfonietta, performing works by Brahms, Grieg, and Tchaikovsky.

A large portion of my life has always been devoted to performing music.  I sing and play drums, guitar, and bass in a rock band, called "Leaving Cash."  Our first full-length album, featuring 12 original songs, was released in January 2009 (available on iTunes).  We perform at venues in the greater Philadelphia area.  I also sing and play guitar, bass, electric violin and drums in the band "Under the Radar" at the Phyrst in downtown State College every Thursday night.

In the toolbar above, there are links to view videos of my conducting, teaching, my philosophy on music education, and videos of myself and my band performing.
